Week 11, Day 1 (Thurs, Jan. 28): What I ate

breakfast
mini bagel with 1/2 T pb (2 pts)
coffee w/splenda and non-dairy creamer (1 pt)

lunch
WW Pasta fra Diavlo w/shrimp (7 pts)
1 honeycrisp apple (1 pt)
baby carrots (0 pts)
Jello pudding cup (1 pt)

dinner
Fajita Steak with Chile-lime dressing (from Let's Dish)

The meal description from the Let's Dish website:
"Low carb! Our signature flank steak marinated in delicious fajita spices then drizzled with a yummy chile-lime dressing and served with a side of rice. Eating light? Toss your favorite salad greens with the dressing, and top with the steak slices for a delectable entree salad."

and here it is as I made it. This is DH's portion on a dinner plate:


He actually had seconds, but the photo is of his first plate. He ended up eating a double portion of meat (14 pts) and probably a cup and a half of the rice (4 pts) and a lot of sauce (3 pts?)

and my portion on a salad plate:


1 serving of meat (7 pts) and sauce on the side that I didn't finish. I just wanted a taste of it. (1 pt)

Instead of the rice, I ate mine with my usual big salad w/ balsamic vinagrette (0 pts)


DH looked at my meal and asked,"Are you full after eating that?"

The answer is,"yes!!" :-)

Although I'm starting to get sick of this same salad day in and day out. I need to either find some good recipes for low point dressings or buy a low point dressing so I can mix it up a little. I cannot wait for summer when I can have some locally grown veggies!! or better yet, veggies from my own garden!
