Week 7, Day 5

Weight = 129.2 lbs

I was up to 130.4 lbs over the weekend, so at least I should be glad I'm back in the 120s, albeit barely. I really wanted to make my 10 lb goal by my next WW meeting, which is on Thursday.

I have been bad this weekend. I made it through Thanksgiving and Christmas on the WW wagon... I was patting myself on the back... then NYE arrived. And New Year's Day and the weekend following New Year's. :::sigh:::

I didn't even keep track of all my food b/c I lost count of points. :-(

John and I had a small group of friends over on NYE for munchies and games.

the problem was the munchies:

I couldn't stop munching! And I didn't take my own advice to fill up on carrots and healthy snacks beforehand. Instead, I ate meatballs, cheese, cheese, and more cheese, spinach dip (although I did use low fat sour cream and low-fat mayo in the recipe), bread, bread, and more bread... need I go on? :-(

I did feel better when John won the jackpot in "left, right, center" (a silly drinking/gambling game):

but I was disappointed in my lack of self-control.

oh well, I can't wallow in it forever. It's a new day, right?

breakfast
instant grits (2 pts)
coffee (1 pt)

lunch
I went to Noodle & Co. for lunch with my best friend from work. She's been out on maternity leave since October and today is her first day back. We used to have lunch together every single day which definitely contributed to my weight gain. She knows I'm on WW now so hopefully lunch out will be the exception and not the norm!

Small Bangkok curry with shrimp (6 pts)
cucumber salad (2 pts)

snack
7 low-fat Triscuits (2 pts)

dinner
my dinner was more of a snack b/c I got home late after Benji's obedience class and was too tired to make a legit meal. Plus I wanted to stay within my points for the day.
1 orange (1 pt)
5 baby carrots (0 pts)
Instant grits + 1 tsp honey(3 pts)

Total points consumed = 17

  1. Your kitchen is gorgeous! I love it!

I ate too much over the long weekend too and just quit counting. We can start fresh together!
