Week 11, Day 3 (Sat, Jan 30): What I Ate

breakfast
mini bagel, toasted (1 pt)
2 slices turkey bacon (2 pts)
1 fried egg (fried in EVOO) (2 pts)
1 apple slice and 4 slices banana (1 pt)

I made a little egg and bacon sandwich. It was yummy!!



Doesn't it look like a lot of food? :-) I put my food on salad plates instead of dinner plates so the portions look bigger and I feel less deprived.

In comparison, here's DH's breakfast on a dinner plate (he had already started eating when I took the pic). He had 2 blueberry waffles with syrup (instead of a mini bagel), scrambled eggs (instead of over easy), 3 pieces of turkey bacon (instead of 2), and fruit.



DH was craving Korean food today so we made a trip (through the snow) to the local Asian market to buy groceries to make some Korean food.

snack

3 pieces kimbap (pre-made, picked up at the Asian market. This is like a sushi roll but w/o raw fish. Instead it has veggies and beef) (4 pts)

dinner
1 1/2 cups soondooboo jigae (Korean soft tofu stew. I got the recipe here: http://www.maangchi.com/recipe/soondubu-jjigae)

I don't know points for this dish, so I broke it down by ingredients that have pts and adjusted according to my portion size:
soft tofu (2 pts)
1/2 cup rice (2 pts)
1/3 cup mixed seafood - shrimp, mussels, squid (3 pts)
sesame oil (2 pts)
egg (1 pt)


Total Points Consumed: 20 pts (2 flex points)
